Hello again guys!
Well I've been trying to find lots of methods of being able to develop my characters and JK's chharacters lives if they're different ships! I've got lots of different ones and
here are my favourite ones so far,
1)Writing them a diary entry:
For at least a week I wrote a diary entry about my character Willow Potter-who I'd made as Harry's sister in my story-she's a minor OC. It was my first fan fic and definately one that I'm not proud of. I talked
about her best friends the most recent dilemma-which was pretty big and her favourite subject of course, boys. I decided that Ginny was basically Willow's hero. If I do the sequel for the story I'm going to show how much she loves her company. Ginny has dated quite a few boys and to Willow (who is only 12 at the time) decides that in order to have Ginny as a role model she wants to prove to Ginny she can do it so she gets a boyfriend and a cute one at that. She talks about how much she can't wait for what's about ot happen and how scared she is for some other people ect...
2) Drawing them as cartoons and them in 7 years from the story.
I drew Willow expecting and engaged (and I won't say to who.). I drew her cartoony style with her boyfriend and her dog Rolo. I'm not going to like play dolls with them I'm just making it easier for me to get what's happening. I then put all the others together in their sections but it's like a huge picture and take the picture on my phone and edit it on Picasa 3 just simply adding the text to say which Family's which.
3) Designate them a song-
So I use some songs to describe either a relationship or just their pesonality. Willows personality would be described as I wanna dance with somebody by Whitney Housten because of how she just is energetic all the time and excetera... Luna's relationship with her father (who isn't Xeno) is Hurt by Christina Aguilera.
That's pretty much it. The songs I came up with well I listened to them this morning and was in plot mode!! If you guys have any other method then just put it in a comment! And what I'm listening to right now? I got you babe by Sonny and Cher from the good old 60's!

Wow, those are all really cool ideas! I can just imagine how much they help. I don't have any interesting methods like that, but I do write a lot of one shots, and a lot of Next Gen. I try my best to keep all the next gen characters consistent throughout all my one shots, whether they're minor characters or main ones. So when I look over my one shots for edits, I often find myself inspired to go into detail with a character that was just briefly mentioned in a story.
