Bonjour! Hola! Hello! I am marinahill. Or you can call me Marina. You can find my author page here.
I currently have 5 stories. These are:

The Widow's Daughter (M) OC/OC Novel
The year is 1847. Roberta Scott wonders how she turned from a servant into the lady who holds the hopes of the nation on her shoulders. After all she has found out, after all she has been through, can she find the courage to stand up to her mother? This could be the end of Bobby Scott as the wizarding world knows her.

Honeydukes (15+) Rose/Scorpius One-Shot
Rose tasted sweeter than chocolate, that day in Honeydukes. I suppose you could say that it all started there. I suppose you could say that's where it all ended.

Sitting In The Orange Tree (15+) Xenophilius Lovegood/Othercanon Short Story
Aurelia Lovegood is dead. She finds herself alone except for an orange tree, and from it, she can watch as her daughter, Luna, finds her way through life. But if she isn't a ghost, and she hasn't gone on, then where is she? and the big question is, what's keeping her here? Dobby's 2008 finalist for Most Original Story

Clockwork (15+) Sirius/Lily One-shot
Lily Evans is thoroughly wound up. She's tired of always being the helping hand. But when one moment, one word, changes how the cogs are turning the clock begins ticking closer to a standstill. Can Sirius Black break the clockwork pattern that has enthralled Lily? It's time to unwind.

Colour My World (M) Teddy/Victoire Novel
Teddy and Victoire: best friends since childhood, and accidental lovers. They never meant it to happen. But somehow it did, and it's time to face facts. Teddy is a hopeless romantic who has issues with the word "love" and Victoire is a shy girl whose saving grace is her red lipstick. Who said their relationship was conventional?

I'm really quite a friendly person, so don't hesitate to ask me questions about anything you can think of! I do love questions.
Thanks for dropping by!
Marina x

I haven't read your story yet, but I'm planning on it after I finish this post. Soo hear I go. laugh.gif

1) What is your favorite ship to read/write?
2) Do you have a favorite book? (Besides HP of course)
3) What do you enjoy the most about writing?
4) What do you do besides writing?
5) Do you have a favorite story on HPFF? If so, which one(s)?

I hope you go far on this website!! And the best of luck to you. wink.gif

hi thanks so much for replying! i nearly cried with happiness!!!!!

1) i like reading james/lily ships, but with a twist. i dont read the stories that have the same take on things, so i read things that are a little different. after i finish my first story, i plan to write a james/lily story, but with a twist! i wont tell you anymore atm, in case i dont ever get around to it!!!
2) favourite books... i love His Dark Materials, and books like that... i also read a lot of what my friends call 'trashy girly novels', there such an easy read! i like books that are set in the past, liek in late 1800 or early 1900. my favourite is The Tea Rose, by Jennifer Donnely. i love books that can make me cry.
3) i love how writing can go in so many directions, and which direction a story goes in is individual to the author... as you go through one door, another one closes, which just shows how many different stories you can write.
4) i read all the time, and i play the piano, and get on with my coursework! i love going to the cinema, too.
5) urm... my favourite ever, was called The Life And Lies of Albus Dumbledore, but that got removed for some reason... at the moment i'm liking 'Cold - Hearted Doesnt even begin to cover it' (its in my favourites, if your interested).

thanks ever so much for taking the time to write to me! its so appreciated! good luck to you with ur writing!

hey there! biggrin.gif i was just wondering, what gave you the inspiration to write your story? it is so original and different (in a good way of course!) that i wondered where the idea came from!

also, just random question, if you could have anything you wanted for a day, what would it be?

and which is your favourite harry potter book?

got to go now... will be back to read more of your story tomorrow! tongue.gif

inspiration... i cant really remember... yes i can! i was reading a book set in the early 1900, and i really like that era. also, i kind of like the old etiquette and stuff. i think i was born into the wrong era (although i wouldnt have harry if i had... so it's not all bad).

anything i wanted for a day... it might sound terribly cliché, but i would go to hogwarts... actually i might go up to heaven for a day and get to know my mum.

fave hp book... between 3,4,5 and 7, and then i would have to say... 3,4,5... gosh i cant decide! i think four! but although i love book 4, i hated the movie the most out of them all! maybe because i had such high expectations?

thanks so much for taking the time to talk to me, and reviewing, of course!

well i havent visited this thread in while, so i thought i'd give an update of what i've been up to smile.gif (though i doubt its very interesting wink.gif )

my GCSE's start in 4 weeks :O so i'll be off writing for a while then, but i've planned ahead and written enough to keep posting until after then, so all's good smile.gif

I just posted my first ever one-shot, Honeydukes (Rose/Scorpius), which im really pleased with ^.^ so if you have time, take a read, and tell me what you think.

I have just finished writing Chapter 13 of The Widow's Daughter.. which means i can answer many of the questions readers have been asking... why not ask me now? save the wait tongue.gif

I'm in the process of writing a new fic also, which is about Luna. That's called Sitting In The Orange Tree, and it should be validated some time next week. I'd love feedback on that, as im a bit nervous about the whole thing...

if you are reading this, thanks for stopping by. I'm a friendly person, so why not say hello?

bye for now!

hEY! well firstly you know I love all your stuff, so here's some questions!

1) hows the dreaded GCSE's going! I'll bet you're doing great!

2) What inspired you to write sitting in the orange tree/ It's brilliantly done, but strange. Where did you get your ideas?

3) Do you have a certain place or action that makes inspiration come to you? (I've told you about my miricle shower!)

4) Bar Harry Potter, what's your favourite book? I'm on the search, any recomendations?

Yes you are a friendly person, so HELLO! Your writing rocks, so do you! =D (Oh, I just realised, if you look at my cheesy grin the other way, it looks like a mushroom. this could explain how weird I am. Magic Mushroom! Nah drugs aint good, I'll stick with the cheesy grin, the weirdness is all environmental, you try habging out with my mates, see if it doesn't turn you strange!)

excerpt from my one shot There's No Such Thing as Magic!12+"Oh! He's giving me the evil eye. Look! What are you going to do, Potter? I'm so scared! I'm……" But before Harry had a chance to find out what else Dudley was (a few of Uncle Vernons more colourful words sprang to mind), his cousin disappeared from his desk and reappeared on top of a tall bookcase at the front of the room. Without his trousers.

this was a nice surprise! not only has my pc broken, but my Internet did too for a period of time! how shocking!!

1) GCSE's - omg just realised I forgot to cross off the one I did today! which was Spanish reading. dreading next week- maths, English x2 and biology! ahhh

2) I honestly can't remember where the orange tree came from... but ive always wanted to write a story from 'beyond' as I'm always thinking of what will happen after life. very much a philosophical exercise!

3) my inspiration places... generally in the shower, or during history lessons. sometimes in dreams, as well. I always listen to the fray when writing TWD, so that helps.

4) I'm going to have to to with northern light. an amazing book, and series. other than that its the tea rose & the winter rose by jennifer donnelly. they're set in 1900 east London, about a poverish girl losing her family to jack the ripper. such beautiful books with vivid descriptions. I think you've probably guessed by now that I like old London ^.^

thanks for the questions, and if you think if any more dont hesitate to ask!

Hey Marina! laugh.gif I love your story "Honeydukes."

What gave you the idea to write a sad Rose/Scorpius story?

And why did you choose Honeydukes for a setting?

hello smile.gif

well I entered the 'forgive my guilt' challenge, and so that sort of defined the sadness... I chose rose/scorpius because I didnt think I could write it. I really wanted to challenge myself so I thought of the most challenging pairing for me, which is actually dramione, but I went one easier and picked scorpius/rose. I chose scorpius as my protagonist because I think he doesnt often get the spotlight in next gens.

honeydukes... it wasnt originally a key part, but just developed when I wrote their first and last trips to hogsmeade. its a place full of sweet things and treats, so was romantic and sad for the events that happened there, if you get by drift.

hope ive answered your questions! thanks for stopping by smile.gif

Sitting In The Orange Tree - Chapter 2 is up. I plan to finish it in the next few weeks, and I'll post it this summer. dont hold me to that, though, as Im a slow writer!

New stories: for a while ive been considering writing some more one shots, for Lily/Severus, Sirius/lily or Sirius/OC. you should know me well enough by now to know these will have their own little twists wink.gif I'm open to any questions you may have.

What is ur favourite TV programme???

Have you ever written anything that wasnt Harry Potter or would u consider doing so in the future??

If so, what would it be??

What made u decide to write about Luna's mum??

How did u feel about the ending of the HP series?? Is there anything major you would change if it were you??

hey Alba biggrin.gif welcome to the wonderful world of HPFF tongue.gif

1. My favourite program: Hotel Babylon or Dirty Sexy Money or Waterloo Road
2. Um i wrote original fiction when i was about 11... but it sucked and i binned it. i may take up the original fic quill again, but i doubt it. its not as much fun as HP
3. oooh.... a pirate story wink.gif haha sorry, alby, no idea.
4. Luna's mum is awesome. and a character that nobody really pays any attention to. also, i wanted to write an afterlife fic. i considered writing Lily/James, but i didnt want to. So, Aurelia was born/ named by another member tongue.gif
5. I dont like Ginny... hehe and i wouldnt name my son Albus Severus. lol stupid name.

thanks for dropping by Ally wink.gif i enjoyed your questions... i hope to see a marvelous Cedric/Tonks in the near future.

Hi Alba! I'm not sure i like Sirius/Lily either! i'm fine with it if it's not a permanent thing, and Lily ends up with James in the end. thats the best Sirius/Lily haha
