James/Lily for sure. They, for me, are the most interesting pairing, just because most fics are just fun and light. The relationship dynamic between them just makes them so incredibly fun to write and read.

FRIDAY! Call it weekend fever

where do you get inspiration from?
Music is definitely one of the main sources. Other authors on HPFF too - some of the stuff is just so brilliant, I get inspired to write my own stories

1. What kind of TV shows do you watch?
house, gossip girl and law and order: svu/criminal intent are some i watch religiously - i also like weird documentries...like ones on stigmatas
2. Do you wear colored socks?
yes, when i can - i own a thigh-high pair of rainbow socks i like to wear under my school uniform (we wear some really long skirts, haha)

no, i'm blonde (let free the blonde jokes!)...naturally, though, i'm mousy brown

i used to...when i was younger i made a cushion out of a cross-stitching packet
5. Would you rather write three chapters of a fic all at once or write three one-shots?
three one-shots, hands down - chaptered fics are hard for me, unless i have a plan because i lose concentration very easily, haha.

hmmm, i guess sometimes. some of my more depressing fics are usually written when life is going a bit tough but mostly i write when i need to escape from real life - so i guess, it's therapeutic in some ways for me, yes.

What's your favourite character to read/write?
Lily, hands down - i love her I've written most of my stories with her. the vision of her in my head is just so vibrant and full of life, I hate to remember she is dead though i'm becoming quite fond of James I and Rose. they're good too!
Which is your favourite HP book?
that's a hard one! ummm, i'm going to say Chamber of Secrets or Deathly Hallows - i just love the basilisk idea for COS and DH was just such an adventure and you learnt so much about the characters!
What is your favourite colour?
i'm going to say royal blue - i especially love it in silk...i have a thing for shiny colours coming in VERY close second is red - like a bright red. it looks good in shoes
Favourite dessert?
sticky date pudding! *drools*
also, mcdonalds apple pie are pretty good
Favourite book other than HP?
um, that is like the toughest question of my life. ummm, The Pact by Jodi Picoult, the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Claire, The Host by Stephenie Meyer and pretty much anything by Meg Cabot, Janet Evanovich or Douglas Adams.
Yeah, I don't read serious stuff Doesn't bode well, haha!

ahh, the question of the century i actually don't mind them. i read them before they were ZOMG SO COOL so when i first read them i came in pretty newbie, with no preconceptions so i just took them for face value. so i like them actually, theres a funny story about why i bought the book - pretty much every book store i walked into they'd have a copy of twilight and when i read the back i was like pfft, no that looks incredibly emo. but in the end it was like stalking me so i gave in a bought it. so yeah, i don't mind it definitely not my favorite by her, that would be The Host.

Haha, no problem dear, I tacked my responses to the end of the post (:

1. What is your favorite movie?
Wow, that's a hard one! I love movies - seriously, I can sit around all day watching them! My favorites would have to be Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, anything X-Men, any Jane Austen movie and Amélie (it's French). And that's all I can think of at the moment!

2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Italy! Rome, specifically - I love ancient history at school and seeing all the buildings and places we talk about in our Fall of the Roman Republic topic would simply blow my mind. Or New York City - I have always wanted to see Central Park and the National History museum. I'm a bit of a nerd

3. I LOVE Law and Order. SVU is my favorite. Who is your favorite Law and Order character?

Thanks! Well, pretty much if I ever got close to JKR, I would tie her up and force her to write for me all day, every day ...short of that I would say, either a series on James and Lily or a series on the next generation - pretty simple (not as interesting as your answer!). I just would love to see more Lily and James - they are the reason I fell in love with fanfiction! And the next generation because I really want to see what would happen - would Albus and co. ever be friends with Scorpius? Who teaching at Hogwarts? How would that huge family relate to each other at school? So many questions unanswered!

5. Do you have any writing rituals? What is the writing process like for you?
Hmmm, that's an interesting question. I sort imagine conversations in my head at the most inconvenient times (in the shower, at school, on the bus, etc.) and then I sort of just flow from there. I often think up endings and beginnings and write them first and then fill out the middle. There are some lines which I think up for one story, but then think, hey, I could get a whole one-shot of this, do I really want to use it? And that's normally how my one-shots are born I don't have really much structure when I write, I write scenes then try and piece them together afterwards - not recommended, probably, by anyone, but it works for me

6. Do you have any pets?
Two cats, a dog and a tropical fish tank, haha. It's like a zoo at my house (:

7. If HP characters were real people, with whom do you think you would be most compatible (either as a friend or in a romantic relationship)?
I think if Draco wasn't such a bigot, he and Hermione could probably be friends (possibly a romantic relationship )
Harry and Ginny, in my opinion complete each other
Ron and Hermione are cute and obviously are in love, but sometimes I think Ron is a bit short-sighted and Hermione and bit hotheaded - but they are perfect for each other!
I always thought Luna and Neville would be fantastic friends - they're so similar but completely different at the same time!
Sirius and Remus - call it whatever you like, but I always suspected they were gay, haha. A bit disappointing when Remus turned out to love Tonks but without that we wouldn't have Teddy
As of Remus and Tonks, I always thought that a bit strange - I like them together, but she's a bit young
Bill and Charlie Weasley would always be best friends in my opinion. I reckon they would have been the closest of brothers...for some reason, haha.
Luna and Ginny, I think, I always thought would be great friends too, and Harry. Proven by Lily Luna Potter, haha.

I like how she always has a confronting topic or plot for her books - high school massacres, suicide pacts and organ farmed sisters. But that's also a negative for me - does she always have to be so damn depressing? Haha, I'm hard to please when it comes to her! But seriously, read The Pact, it really is amazing! The whole story is just so heartbreaking (though a bit far fetched...I was a bit shocked when I found out the cause of Emily's...well, I won't spoil it but you should read it!)

Det. Benson is my favorite, too! Overall, I think SVU has the best characters and cast. Dets. Munch and Tutuola are great, too...kind of a weird, dark comic relief.

I'm very similar to you as far as the random conversation thing. I get little idea snippets and try to figure out a way to expand them. But more often than not, I figure out the middle first, and then work outwards from there. It's kind of funny, because a lot of the time I end up thinking, Wow, this is a fantastic idea! Now, if only it actually had a point!

Wow, I'm stupid. I completely read the question wrong, haha Sorry! Hmm, that's even more interesting though. Um, I think I would get along with maybe Hermione and Ron. Hermione because, like her, I'm a bit of a nerd and Ron just because I think he's so entertaining. Harry would probably drive me nuts with his bi-polar attitude, but I do like him. Ginny...as much as I like her, she's a not really someone I could see myself being friends with. Draco would drive me up the wall but I would probably love him anyway (I tend to see the humorous side of his character more ). Luna would be just fun to hang around - all those ridiculous notions of hers would never get old! Neville would probably be the person you can always rely on, so I'd probably get along with him...he actually reminds me of someone I knew in primary school and I got along with him. Romantically, I would probably go for James Potter - but I would have to rename myself Lily Evans and dye my hair red, haha! With that being no option, I would probably steal Sirius and stuff him in a bag

I think I'd get along with Ron and Hermione, too, although my neuroses combined with Hermione's would probably make the world implode. And I agree about Neville - he's a steady guy, and probably a great friend to have.

I swear she does it to intentionally harass me. So what kinds of bizarre things do your pets do?

Oh there is plenty! loser!Lily in Marauder fics, more Albus/Scorpius (humor ones!), more cute, funny Lily/James and Rose/Scorpius one-shots (because I can never get enough of those ), more Dramoines with funny!Draco and angry!Hermione (because I love a good cliche :blushes:), more next gen preggers fics, more humorous Dominique/Teddy/Victoire novellas, and...that's all I can think of now

Completely AU fics - I just really don't see the point.
Romance fics where the only thing keeping them apart is their families...and they don't show it well (common in Draco/Hermione fics...um, hello, you hate each other as well? Though I think I've done that in one of my one-shots...possibly)

omg, I thought it was just my dog who did that! Annoying, is it not? Also, my dog will actually turn her nose up at food if you offer it from the table (I think she thinks there's something better there ). And if I hug my mum in her line of sight, she'll get very jealous and try to jump up in between us, haha. My cats hide a lot, so I don't really know their strange habits...well, one of them, Bubble, runs full speed up and down our carpeted corridor, making and awful tearing noise as she goes...she's crazy, though

Actually, at first I refused to read them...I can't remember why, but I just didn't want to. I think I thought they were stupid and childish (I was about nine or ten at the time, so I was oh-so-mature ). I got a copy of the Philosophers Stone and Chamber of Secrets for my birthday but I was still against them. But then one day I stayed home from school - I had read everything in my house and I was looking for something new. And then I found PS and I was like, what harm can it do?

And I've never looked back
