Hey!
So I'm PenguinsWillReignSupreme aka Rachel (Rach with permission and never Rachie) and I'm a first-year French student at university.

I've been a member of HPFF for nearly a year, although I did stalk the site without an account for many moons. I started writing HP fanfiction almost three years ago when I was sixteen and haven't looked back.
I have an unhealthy obsession with the Next Generation, though you can't beat those good old Marauders. My aim for the next few months? Promote all the under-used Next Generation characters, starting with Molly II in Caught in a Web

I beta for quite a few people on the site so PM me if you're interested in me for that too.

What is your favorite ship?
Argh...I guess I read a lot of James/Lily but I love Next Gen pairings: my top three of the moment are Lily/Scorpius, Teddy/Dominique and James II/OC - it changes depending on my mood though.

What is your favorite story on the archives?
I'm really getting into KaraBlack's 'Walking Through Brimstone' at the moment, and I can't call myself a Next Gen fan unless I include 'We Gryffies' in there too.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
I don't know. I just let my mind wander - I can be sat in a lecture hall and all of a sudden, I see a great scene in my head. I read a lot of aphorisms for my course, and often they just create a plot bunny: La Rochefoucauld's Maxime's are a great starting point, and Oscar Wilde has a few good ones too.

Which of the seven (HP) books is your favourite and why?
I guess I'd have to say Deathly Hallows, because it was the first time (obviously) that I was the same age as the characters and could 100% relate to them. I have never cried so much over a book as with that one, and I still do every time I re-read it. JKR's ability to make you laugh then cry in a few sentences is wonderful and admirable.
All the others all have fantastic qualities that make it really hard to choose a favourite though.

anyways, i have a serious question for you.

what other un-appreciated next gen characters do you plan on writing about?

So serious question time:

I've started with Molly and I think my next move will be Lucy and Louis.
I've also been thinking about Roxanne and Fred as main characters, since often they are just secondary characters: James/Lily/Rose's sidekicks rather than a character in their own right.
Hugo is another who I feel needs to be written about more, away from Lily and Rose.

Basically, I want avoid Rose, Al, Lily, Scorpius, Victoire and Teddy. James and Dominique I have plans for, even though they aren't greatly underwritten characters.
So, yeah. There we have it: my ambition for the next few months/years/decades

f.y.i. after reading like the first few chapters, you like inspired me to write my own next gen fic! it's a Fred II and I'm still trying to find a way to get Roxanne in the story some how. but overall, I'm really happy with it!!! hee hee!
