So... I finally got a 'Meet the Author'-thingy.

Well, you can ask me anything about everything, pretty much. About writing, interests, all those sorts of stuff

As far as writing goes, I've got two stories up on HPFF right now; Above the Clouds(Dramione) and Hiding Behind Books (Rose/Scorpius), but you can also find me at FF.net, where I've got three one-shots up; Tea Party at the Malfoy Manor(humour!fic), New Times (Lily/James) and Away(Dramione), so ask away about those stories and don't be shy. I wont bite, I promise. (:

As for me, I'm Cathrine, 17 years old from Sweden; same goes here, just ask away! =D

How did you stumble across your very first Fan Fictional story?

If you could, would you change ANYTHING in the Harry Potter books or movies?

Also WHy would you change them?

Dear Alonia.

1. I have a thing for the "Bad guy - Good girl" romance, and obviously; Dramione is just that.
As far as Rose/Scorpius goes, I think that it's sort of the same thing, but not quite, Scorpius is known to look like his father, but no one really knows how he is as a person, so he makes for a really interesting character. Rose has her mothers brain, so she's a bit like Hermione in a way, but also; not quite. So, it's a bit more free to write about Rose/Scorpius. It's like writing non-canon Dramione, really. And then of course, it's fun to write about their parents reactions
I was inspired to write Dramione and Roscorpius after I read such wonderful stories about them, and I wanted to try it on myself =)

2. Wow, how did I stumble across.. I think I caught the word "Slash fic" somewhere, on the TV or something, and decided to check it out, and found a whole wooorld filled with fan fiction, which was not only slash, haha =)

3. I would... Not have George marry Angelina; and they would not name their kid Fred.
I would... have introduced Astoria Greengrass earlier in the story, so that the readers knew who the heck Draco married.
I would... fill the gap between the final battle and the 19 years later.
I would... have made Ginny look a bit less like Harry's mother...

4. Because... It's wrong that George is dating his dead brothers ex girlfriend and they name their first kid after him.
Because... The Draco fans has the right to know a bit about his wife
Because... It would be interesting to see what happened all those years!
Because... It's just... It annoys me, haha =)

Oh Cathyyy!!! One of my most favoritest authorets of all time!!!! (And yes I do realize that favoritest and authorets are not real words lol)
I am yet to do an authors page or read any for that matter so I'm short of blindsited by this but I wanted to say that you are a brilliant author. So I have a couple questions of my own.

Who besides J.K. Rowling are your favorite authors?
Name 3 of your favorite books (or series) outside the Harry Potter series.
Which of the 7 Harry Potter books was your favorite, no you don't have to pick lol. Just tell me your most favorite parts if you have them.
And seeing that you are from Sweden I must ask is English your first language because you are excellent at it? Or do you have a Beta?

haha, aaw! Thanks! Yay, questions!

Who besides J.K Rowling are my favorite... Hmm, though one. I'll have to go with the Swedish author Liza Marklund, and I also like John Marsden, and I'll have to give Stephanie Meyer some credit for writing addictive books, not very good written, but they sure are addictive!

I'll have to saw the Twilight series, (I know, I know!) and the favorite book in that series is New Moon, and I thought that Breaking Dawn sucked.
I also just love 'Tomorrow when the war came' series! I think that's the name of the series. It's like 9 or 10 books in that series, but the first 4 books are the best. I gotta reread that serie soon!
And I also like the Swedish books in the 'Millenium' series (:

My favorite HP book is without a doubt Halfblood Prince! but DH comes on second place!

Ah, no, I don't have a Beta, I should probably get one, or something, but I can speak English perfectly and I speak it daily with friends and even family, but no, English is not my first language, Swedish is.

Hello, there! Glad to hear that you love my stories! =)

1. My favourite character to write about is either Draco(obviously), Blaise(because I love him to bits and he comes out so funny and cute), or Lucius(because he's so difficult for me to write, and I love a good challenge.)

2. Oh.. I really love writing one-shots, and there will be a couple of them up on HPFF soon, but they aren't as fun as the novel length ones, in which I can really get to know the characters... So, between Above the Clouds and Hiding behind Books; I'd say that I love Above the Clouds just a wee bit more, because it's been around longer and I've had more time to get to know the characters, but I do love HBB too.

3. Without a doubt: Daddy Dearest. It's a Rose/Scorpius and I adore it! I also like 'Don't touch my Mudblood' but that one hasn't been updated in ages!

Uhm, I guess the inspiration for Pansy came from own experiences, like my ex boyfriends ex girlfriends x) you know?
I just take those girls and make them ten times worse!
And I just knew that I needed something like that in Above the Clouds (: just like I have Melinda Chang in HBB. (:

Just asking where you came up with that flight teacher idea. It's like the romance was really well done. Wasn't even rushed into! How did you get over that want to get the romance done, like, right that moment? That's a major problem with me!

hehe first year now...XD

I was simply sitting in my kitchen, writing a crappy fic, when a image of Dramione on a broom appeared in my head, and a conversation, the "Do you trust me?" conversation in the second chapter before they fly away. I really build the whole fic from that idea, I knew I wanted a romantic story and I did try not to rush in to it, but looking back on it, maybe I did.

What inspired me to post on HPFF was that I wanted to see what other people thought about it, and I just happened to like HPFF more than... FF.net for example.
