Hallo there. Welcome to my Meet the Author.

Feel free to call me Mardi, or magic if you prefer.

I've been a member of hpff since November 2006 but I am only just getting acquainted with the forums. I felt that it was time. Romance is my main genre but I suppose a few of my fics deal with other things too...somewhat. I've written a handful of stories and I will gladly answer any questions.

To go a little bit into why I began writing, it was one of my very good friends that got me reading Harry Potter fanfiction on fanfiction.com. I grew up (reading, of course) with Harry and the gang, so I felt as though I already knew them and somehow, the characters called to me. I was hooked on Harry Potter fanfiction in no time. My writing has transformed over the years as I've strayed away from MarySue-ish characters and errant plot bunnies and written more realistic and intruiging stories. And here I am now, three years later.

I hope that my writing has improved even more this past year and my IB english class and brilliant teachers have taught me the fundamentals of proper writing.

Other than writing, I enjoy reading, acting, music, and dancing. Share any favorite novels, musicians, plays, etc. if you so choose. I would love to have a broader knowledge of any topic!

To keep up with my progress with my current project(s) and my daily life, you can check out my livejournal (15+). Also, if you'd like, my Author's page (15+).

Please ask away to your heart's content!

So since I learned that your summary of Whispering is from Spring Awakening, I had a bunch of questions to ask.

1. Have you seen Spring Awakening on stage?

2. What’s your fav. Song from the musical?

3. Is Spring Awakening your fav. Musical or is there another?

4. Are you musical obsessed? (hehe I know I am!)

Can’t wait to see your answers!

Well, RonNiffler, Happy New Year!

I guess I'll just jump right in and answer your questions.

1. Have you seen Spring Awakening on stage?
Why, yes I have! Twice in fact. Both times in NYC. I was actually quite lucky to see Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele in their third to last performance on Broadway. It was absolutely amazing. Both times actually. Each time I saw Blake Bashoff as Moritz and he was absolutely brilliant. The second time, I saw Hunter Parrish and Alexandra Socha. The casts both times were spectacular. I mean, all of the actors that have ever been in Spring Awakening have done tremendous jobs. One of my favourite actors, actually, is Blake Daniel who played Ernst. He was so adorable. I really would have loved to see Kyle Riabko as Melchior, but unfortunately I couldn't. I just love his cover of The Guilty Ones. Posted Image

But anyway, to give you a clearer answer instead of my babbling, yes, I have see Spring Awakening. Posted Image

2. What's your favourite song from the musical?
That, unfortunately, is a very, very difficult question. Duncan Sheik, frankly, is a bloody musical genius and Steven Sater a ridiculously amazing lyricist. I quite like all of the songs nearly equally. If you ask me at this very moment, however, I'd have to say either Mama Who Bore Me (Reprise) or I Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind.

3. Is Spring Awakening your favourite musical or is there another?
Spring Awakening is easily in the top three of my top eight. Posted Image Also belonging in there is Beauty and the Beast (the first Broadway musical I have ever seen), Aida (absolutely brilliant; saw it off-Broadway as a touring cast), West Side Story (haven't ever seen it professionally done but I would absolutely love to if I could), Wicked (gotta love it!), Les Miserables (I was lucky enough to see it during its six-month revival on Broadway), Blood Brothers (saw it on West End and it is beautiful and something to look up if you haven't ever heard of it), and last but not least, Next to Normal (I just got into it this year thanks to one of my friends).

4. Are you musical obsessed?
As if the previous answer doesn't give you enough of a clue. Posted Image

Thanks so much for the questions! I hope I answered them sufficiently.
