The Ocean by pop_girl06 [Reviews - 1] - [Report Abuse] [Larger Font - Smaller Font] Print Entire Story

Silent Eyes

The ocean watches.

People – come and go.
Sun – arrives and disappears.
Moon – sleepily retires.

The ocean watches

Fish – prey and predator, are born and die, disappearing without a trace.
Garbage – Float away with no destination.
The current – ever changing, moves, hot and cold.

The ocean watches.

Clouds – float by.
Rain – drenches and dries.
Wind – tempts, teases, and vanishes.

The ocean watches.

Continents – drift away, continuously towards each other.
Tides – unchanging, a new every time.
Sea foam – inconsequential; just an affect of nothing.

I – run, jump, headfirst. No chance of turning back.

And still the ocean watches.

A/N: This is weird, even for me. This poem, I mean. It's almost a description. Anyway. This is for the November Challenge, inspired by the 1st and 2nd picture. The 1st by, well, the whole theme of oceans, and the 2nd by it's feeling of no change and tradition.

A/N2: Heeeeyyy, this has been updated!
And I submitted it to my school's Literary Magazine, and i tgot accepted, so woot woot!
Yeahy!
Alright, that's all for now.

Yours,
